Baffled tailpipe or not?

I'm looking at getting a cobra cat back and I would like to know whether I should go for a baffled or non baffled tailpipe. I'm thinking non baffled, since they look better. Are there any performance gains/losses between the two? I'm not too worried about having a noisier exhaust, I need it for an MOT next month as the current non-standard backbox is being held on with locking wire and I thought I'd treat my car.

Cheers

I would have thought the tailpipe would give minimal power and noise increase. It's purely down to looks. The non resonated back box is the noisy bit

Thanks guys, but I don't think I explained my query properly, sorry about that. I just wondered what difference having a baffle in the tip made. Cobra do two different tips; one baffled and one non-baffled. I am leaning towards the non baffled tip as I think it looks better.

The tip will have no effect what-so-ever to anything... the baffled one looks a little cheaper IMO, the none baffled one looks good and is easy to keep clean on the inside.

Thanks for your input. I've gone for a resonated cat back with non baffled tip. It's going to look so much better than the abomination that's on the car at the moment.

Let us know what you think. A sound clip of before and after will be awesome.

I had a resonated milltek but am cirrently removing the mid pipe and putting a straight peice in its place. Will post some sound clips up when done.
