Bad news from dealer today!

Nick, out of interest what did your dealer offer you in terms of an apology/compensation for the error and delay on your order.

Thank you all for the advice and support, i am visiting the dealer this weekend to visit the salesman and business manager to try and sort this mess out. As yet they still do not know what has happened to my original order, as they are in contact with the factory to try and work out what went wrong.
They are also trying to get me a definitive delivery date for the new cupra with the different spec that they can get their hands on, yesterday they couldn`t give that to me.
Hopefully i will have some better news today or tomorrow, will keep you updated.

They aren't in contact with the factory - they are in contact with Milton Keynes
If they had been in contact with Milton Keynes, they would have a date.

I don't think SEAT UK are buying 'stock' of cars any more, so you must be getting either a cancelled order, or a car originally destined as a demo car (neither is a problem) but make sure you get what you want... the salesman is making $$$'s from you, so ask for his commission to be discounted from the car - he f*cked it up.

I agree, mi wifes friend also ordered an a new audi A3 and they have cocked that up too. She now has a loan car from them until they sort her order out. She did it on the scrappage scheme and they have already scrapped her car now they are trying to play hardball by making her pay delivery charges again of 800 quid!!!!!!! She told them to get screwed and will keep using the demo until she is satisfied with what they come back with. All she is paying is insurance so she is saving well atm hahahahahahahahahahaha. So in all honesty, it is not just SEAT. Our director has also ordered an R20 golf from VW which has had problems and the order has been set out by another 2 months now. Still doesn't make it any better for us to be going through this crap.

Our Leon came without the media system orded. We did add it to the order a week after the intial order and dealer did their bit. It seems the cockup happend at the point of changing from the old to the new system!! SEAT should of got each of its dealers to double check orders once they had been uploaded to the new system. As we are not the only person another guy added a Sunfoof to his Boc and it came without it!!

Quick update -

Found out today the reason for wrong car - due to the change in seats computer/ordering system when i ordered the car - has happened to others on this forum.

Replacement cupra being delivered before end of may.

Pity the dealer didn`t check the correct car was on its way until the day of the delivery, could have saved a lot of grief all round!

yea Malc ,having spoiler, and skirts on at stealer . so i said i want that as compensation . he said ok, it will have to come out of his own pocket, & loose the paper work , year like i belive that haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
