Well it's been a very very long time since I've posted on the forum but I've been away from the brand a while now but never that far away really!

I'm in the process of looking for a K1 and have come across something that's slightly bizzare. Can someone tell me why some of the kits have slatted side vents and some are mesh/honeycombe inserts?

Cheers

Hi mate and good choice on the K1 by the way.

The vent design changed at some point during 2008 to the meshed type from the orginal slatted design.

Personally I prefer the meshed vents to the slatted type. You can buy the meshed ones if you prefer them and change the slatted ones. They aren't big money as far as I know.

Give David at SERE Motors, SEAT Parts guy on here, very good prices for any OEM parts you need for your SEAT. The meshed vents are called Linea R style vents.

SERE's number is 02870 205115.

Cheers for the info buddy. Gotta say I prefer the slats so I'm I luck as my budget is a little bit limited to it'd be an older model k1 I'd be after :)

Feels good to be back, well nearly, in the fold!
