What's the best way to remove swirl marks from the b pillar gloss black trim? Can you use clay or is it too harsh?

SRP is just going to cover them up, not remove them. Something like Gtechniq P1 might be worth a look.

if SRP stands for super resin polish then please dont, it contains micro-particles or whatever, which im sure is great on paint, hell i used it saturday, but i wouldnt use it on gloss plastics, may look better initially but youre gonna scratch is more imo. Best use a a quality trim dresser, I have super dooper thick clear sludge but I cant remember the name of it at the moment but somethign like this should do: http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/poorboys/trim-restorer.aspx

Cheers for the replies, i'll have a look. I need to order some more bits anyway as want some more wax etc so will have a look. If not i'll either live with it or look to get them wrapped.

Correct in terms of the meaning of SRP but I guarantee it will work and remove defects on both paint and pillar trims.
The thing some people dont get with polish is you need to work it in to break down the micro abrasives. Hence why a DA polisher works better than 'a coat of polish' by hand.

Wax/sealants you coat paint trim with. Polish you work in and break it down to remove swirls/marring and improve gloss.

Id recommend a light cut polish on the trims as its softer than paint. Srp should be fine or menzerna 85re or carpro reflect.

Had the same problem on my last car, a Golf, so as soon as I got the Leon ordered some vinyl from ebay, cut out some templates and covered all the black shiny plastic on the doors.
