Get an ebay copy there are identical and a fraction of the price. And yes you will need a new gearknob aswell as it is lift reverse.

You will need to remove the heatshield to get the to the shiftbox out as it comes out from underneath. Most people remove the dp to get it off (although 1 guy managed to do it without)

Whilst your at it you could topmount the shiftbox like I have which looks pretty cool.

Nope I used 4 m10 allen bolts and nuts on the underside.. made spacers to fill up the larger holes in the box.. probably get away with big washers though

Did mine today. Very happy with the result!! Removing the shifter box was a right pain in the ass but I managed to remove it without removing the downpipe........

The hole I made for the cables to run through the firewall provides a nice sound of the turbo spooling and the dump valve :D

For everyone's info these can be fitted from above with no need to touch the exhaust or heat shield just need abit of patience and a telescopic magnet !
As I've just fitted mine

But the ash tray section won't fit on top? I guess it's either higher shifter or trim?

It looks cool anyway, thanks for your time. Is it an improvement having it up higher?

Ashtray wont fit as the shift box is in the way

I love mine how it is, feels loads better being higher up, main reason i havent fitted the short shift is because i dont want it any lower now
