Sorry if this has been asked befor, did a search but didn't find the answer I was after. Picking up my Leon Ref Sport on Wednesday and wondered about where to get a cable to plug into the aux port and attach my ipod to it and also how much???
Also if this is possible how good is it running your ipod through the standard HU??
Thanks for all replies,

Hey Dudes,

Have had my new Leaon FR170 Since September n still havn't sorted ipod connector !!

When i first got the car i tried a standard aux lead from my ipod to the AUX socet in centre consloe but couldn't get it to work. i thought it needed a special cable as according to seat the ipob connection kit is £100. which is why i just left it.

Was i doing somthing wrong when i tried a standard connector ( none seat ) is there a standard procedure when u plug in ?? all i did was press aux on the Sterio but nothing happens !!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP ITS REALLY ANOYING CAN'T MOVE IN MY CAR FOR CD'S !!!!!

i bought my cable from Currys. Works fine although, again, you can't control the track selection from the HU - only the iPod.

Hi,

Thanks for reply . . the cable you purchased from curry's, did it plug straight into the centre console AUX and if so what do you press on the stereo to get it to work ????

Thanks again

Yes the cable I purchased from Currys plugs directly into the Aux socket in the centre console.

You just press the Aux button on the HU twice (if I remember correctly) to allow the iPod to be played. I then just leave the iPod in one of the cup holders once I've set the music tracks to be played.
