Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror

The mirror has a button and when pressed a green LED lights up.

The dimming works OK, but I cannot see any difference with the green LED ON or OFF.

Has anyone else tried there's ?.

cheers

there is a sensor on the back (windscreen side), easiest way to test is put your hand round the back in daylight (making it think its night time) then the natural daylight hitting the front sensor should dim the mirror.

I suppose you could just shine a light into the front sensor at night but you need something to look at in the rear view to notice it really - if you have another light to look at, i.e. car headlights you will see them dim

Seat autodimming is quite rubbish, can't notice any difference ever.

Mind you there is the two sexy red led's that point down, whats that all about??

The auto dimming mirror is fantastic you just don't notice it because it does such a good job! I've turned it off before when I've had headlights shining in from behind and it does make a lot of difference

yeah same here, i think its brilliant at night obviously - best way to test is when your being followed by another car and try the button a few times, you can see a difference :)
