Ok thanks for that, but I thought it should bump start as it is a diesel and when it started the other morning, it just cut out half way up the road, as if no fuel(yes I have got fuel in it) should a diesel be able to start whithout the glo plugs? cheers

Look for a relay with 109 written on it, and replace that. Main ECU relay which stops (or allows) the ECU controlling the injection system, not just the glow plugs. The lack of the glow plug light is an indication that there's no power getting to the injection side of the ecu, and no power means that there's no injection enabled so no starting, not even bump starting.
