how the hell do i get the ariel off my ibiza??

my mate and i have tried for ages and its not coming off!

does it come off? if so, how??

unscrew , hold base , then pull like a proper bas rd

yep unscrew and give it a sharp pull hold the base at the same time dont be scared to give it good pull!

unscrew it as far as you can then leaver it off with a pair of long nosed plyers

or if its really stuck use a claw hammer to perswade it (use some cardboard to protect the paint tho)

it is held in with a tight fitting o ring and yanking at it may ripple your roof

Lol, i had the same problem a week or so ago, i found that standing on the top of the tyre will give you a better chance. does take a few decent tugs before the thing decides to give up!

I dont get this, i took mine off last saturday and i didnt have to pull hard, i just kind off rotated it around a little bit and kind of got it out like that, very hard to explain, but i didnt pull straight upwards, just in all directions till it came out. not a lot of force at all, but yeah def watch out for the paint, or have the scrath polish to hand as i needed!

So thats how its done.

Was begining to wonder if mine was glued on.

Thinking about swapping it with my mums Honda FRV ariel. think its the same that comes on the CTR.
