Hi guys. I was looking in to getting a battery cover but it seems the fuse box on the top of my battery is in the wrong place? I have looked at loads of pics on here and everyones fuse box looks like its more in the middle of the battery but mine is at the back. I was thinking maybe coz i have an early 20VT sport its year 2000?

What do you think?

I had to change my negative terminal on Friday as it was corroded and knackered my last battery so I was staring at the dam thing for ages [:@]

Looks like a slightly different design but it seems in the same position to me. My fuse box pivots back towards the windscreen but so you can lift the battery out easily without disconnecting it. Does yours go the other way i.e. pivot towards the front of your car

Mines is a MY03 LC BTW.

Do you mean when you open it? if so mine opens the other way. Maybe mine never had a battery cover? Just make it all look a bit untidy without a cover.

Mines has a battery cover with clips at the side. You push them in ans it just slides up and out to expose the battery (what you're looking at in your pic).

The fuse box then sits on top of the battery. This this pivots back up towards the windscreen for your to remove the battery.

Hope this makes sense.

Sorry, new question ??

Yeah, when I got the car there was a black nylon padded 'jacket' around the battery - kinda like a simple camera bag (this is floating around in my shed I think)

Without it, my battery looks just as in your picture in the first post :D
