Im having issues with my car and i would just like to see what sort of psi levels people are running with the following.. I was hitting 20psi+ easy on k03, now have k03s its just about hitting 15psi, could it be something to do with its a brand new exhaust and needs to be blown through(run in) or something? Thought it would be easily hitting 20+ its just doesnt seems that powerfull.

Im getting this "chatterin" sound that i have never had b4..

Dont you just hate it when you car aint running right

Cheers

Check the vacuum pipe for your dump valve isn't split.

Chattering will be gasses passing back through the turbo instead of out of the dump valve. The boost may or may not be leaking through the split vacuum hose.

Just a hunch, go get your lips around the vacuum pipe and see if it leaks ;)

Did you put the pipes on correctly?

What i'm getting at is that the dump valve may not be operatingcorrectly, thus the air is going back to the turbo and causing the problem.

The dump valve operates using vacuum, so if you have something a miss there then the dump will fail, and if you have a loose connection then boost will be escaping also.

Thats about as far as my experience with a chatter sound goes, sounds cool though eh? ;)

Just go round checking all the boost hoses

Make sure jubilee's are all tight, try and feel for any blowing from the downpipe and turbo gasket but remember they will be hot so dont touch them!! :p

chattering isnt good, you checked the dv pipes are right and the vac lines are connected in right order?

is the actuator connected properly to vac lines?? did you block the one line?

at first he used the actuator that come with the k03s thn coz he thought it was knackered, he put the actuator off my k03 onto the k03s and used both lines again.. Is that ok to do with the k03s? Everything seems to be connected in order.. Just isnt boosting enough.

Wind the nuts on the actuator along the thread abit (so its closer to the brassy can). Take it for a spin and gently build the boost, if it boosts better then you know its an incorrectly set actuator. Be careful not to wind it along too far or you may find you'll overboost or overspool the turbo.
