Hi all,

Just currious to see if anyone else has an aftermarket sunroof like mine! - or knows anything about it as I'd like to source a sun shield and illuminated switch!

Its an electric (soft touch) tilt/slide spoiler type made by Hollandia who I think are now part of Webasto. The quality of it is very high and IMO looks factory fitted.

It was fitted for the first owner either by the Seat Dealer (Hobins of Preston) or another before or soon after purchase.

Anyone up in Preston know of a local company that might of fitted it.

looks like an aftermarket sundroof, as the factory fit ones retract inside the roof rather than on top of it!

I know this thanks!

The later 8v GTi Cupra Sports did'nt have a factory sunroof as standard - Just after more info on this one as I'd like a sunshield for next summer! and possibly an illuminated switch. And also interested to see if other NEW buyers in 99 chose something similiar in lew of air-con and sunroof

Cheers

The girlfriend had one on her Cupra Sport 8v that she had from new.

It was a dealer fit option at the time as Cupras didn't have sunroofs or air con on the options list.

You're best bet for info is the garage that supplied the car as they would probably have used there's or a local body shop to fit it.

That sunroof looks really well fitted for an aftermarket jobbie.

I have a inalfa sunroof fitted to mine, Not by choice it was allready there when i brought the car. IMO not the best aftermarket sunroof the surround doesnt fit very well because of the hip in the roof lining.

wasnt it an option as in accessory ? nice bit of kit too

pop the switch out to see if theirs any info on it (close up)

mines manual roof and AC but iirc seat did an electric fabric roof as std and your type as accessory

i did have the old accessory pages somewhere but i think that will only give the part number for the whole unit

When I got the car the fit of the inner surround over the light contour in the headlining was'nt to my standard and neither was the accuracy in cutting the aperture, so I replaced the Headlining with a new one from Seat and carefully trimmed the surround to a template I made from the old headlining. The fit now is something I'am quite proud off!! The standard of the rest of the fitting is very high!

Fl@pper - I'd be gratfull of any info you have in relation to it!
