Anyone ordered new FR

Wanted to know if delivery is July or later and any discount discussed or is the car to new for this.

My local have a few on order (have done since they first could) and the computer shows estimated build date as first week of July so they estimate delivery to be 12weeks or so. I would be suprised if there is much room for discount yet, especially if (like me) you want some extra options. Guess that will push delivery back further as well

yeah was looking at 18's,bluetooth and xenons. Last time we ordered with extras it was 12 weeks.
So if build start july looking after september for delivery long time.

Does seem like an awful long wait...

It's a shame there is no sign of the new 1.4TSI (TwinCharger) yet either - going by the info about the Golf GT on the VW site it offers near 170TDI economy at a lower list price with better performance too. So now I don't know if I should wait or not!

no it ,ust be a new one.

I think he means, like most dealers he has ordered a few in anticipaton of selling out early ( which they will) and one has not been allocated. Not spam, bloody good, as someone may be after one of them in that spec.

If he'll have it in his showroom by the end of june it must be being built virtually now?

I think some dealers either dont want to sell cars or are clueless. The one I went into pretty much had no idea about when the FR would be coming out just mumbled july but said the Altea FR is out. I would of asked for the Altea if that what I wanted....

Thanks for the decent reply Pete where are you located. Is this the only one you have coming in and is there much difference between normal lights and the Bi-xenon.

I have managed to secure a limited number of standard cars in Luna Grey, Black Magic, Crono Yellow and Emocion Red which are being built next week and so July delivery if you are interested. (or anyone else!!). Have not seen the bi-xenon lights but assume same difference as on BMWs etc. Oh and by the way i'm in Cheltenham Gloucestershire. [email protected]

My dads been onto Drive the deal and there willing to discount the options too that he wants on his.

Went and ordered my Leon FR today Zenith Grey with xenon`s, convenience pack and i-pod connector also did a deal with the dealer on having the bodykit fitted he takes the FR bumpers wheels etc and fits mine with the new kit F.O.C what a result.

drive the deal is a con, they cant actually get the cars!!! all that happens is that residual values are wrecked, best to buy from a dealer, like our friend Pete!!
