Anyone know where the ABS pump module is?

As I have the stupid traction “01435 Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201)” fault, I may need to take this off and get it sent for a recondition. Is it easy to get too and take off?

I did have a look under the engine bay but couldn't see anything that may resemble this part!
:help:

It is at the back of the engine bay. Fairly easy to remove I assume you are going to send the pump to http://www.ecutesting.com/seat_toledo___leon___skoda_oct.html

Instructions for removal :-

You will need pressure bleeding and diag equipment to refit and set up even if the pressure sensor is replaced.

Thanks, I asked at local vag specialist to me. £55 per hour (2 hours) and £30 to do whatever it is on vag com.
So is going to be around 500 mark for a known error :(

I have my own vag com software and Hoping to re code it myself. Is there anywhere to find a thread already on this?

Do I have to write the codes down before removing the part or something?!

its not the coding thats the easy bit. You need to -

Calibrake brake pressure sensor
Calibrate longitudinal sensor
Calibrate lateral sensor
Calibrate J500 steering ecu
Calibrate G85 steering angle sensor

The last two might do themselves on a road test, might not.

If you are using a new unit they come prebled and vented now. So all you need to do before you undo anything wedge something inbetween the front of the drivers seat and the pedal to keep a bit of pressure on it. Undo the pipes onto the unit and very little fluid will come out, swap the unit over and connect up. The remove the bar and carry out a regular brake bleed. That should be fine, no need for the 17 cycle ABS bleed with diagnostics.

I bought a recon unit off eBay. Got a inde to fit and he tried to code it in but wouldn't allow it!

Had to take it to Seat Liverpool in the end where it took them 2.5 hours to do as they had to do 18 different codes or something?!

All sorted now though.
