ive got the car back tonight, dont know if the knocking has been cured or not at the moment, got a more pressing issue now, while it was in for this they found the steering rack to be buggered too so they replaced it.
While aligning it back up they noticed the excessive camber on the OSF wheel, this was one of my issues, with front tyres inners wearing quickly.

Closer inspection they found the strut bent and possibly damage to the stud axle, which suggests this car has taken a fair amount of impact, it has pulled to the left from the minute i picked it up but there was absolutely no sign of any damage to the car, which i would fully expect with it being a brand new out of the box car and i sure as **** havent given this car any kind of impact

a mate of mine is an assessor for insurance and he says they could have even done it before the car hit the dealers and just replaced the wheel when they found it was still actually within specs, which also answers the question of why the steering rack was fecked after 6k miles

This warranty work wasnt done at the dealer i bought it from, bought from durham, work carried out at harrogate.

I now have the car back, and while it is aligned within specs, it is on the very extreme edge, causing excessive wear and pulling to the left.

Picking the car up from brand new with 4 miles on the clock I have not had any smacks bumps or impacts whatsoever, i havent even hit a speed bump hard and to cause the kind of damage they are talking about it would need a f*cking hell of a whack.

I now have to take this up with my dealer i bought the car off, let the fun begin
