Any problems encountered with Fabia rear wiper convertions??

Ive done the conversion, and the problem with mine is it rattles from the vibration made by my sub.
Mind you most of the car rattles so it don't make much odds.

Rattle - argh, not another one. I constantly drown the rattles with stereo maybe I should move to Germany. If only we had autobahns.

Yup - fabia from last year, i have pushed my car to 130ish without noise whatsoever.
Cap has stayed on fine too.
Easiest mod ever, and looks SO much better than standard, and is silent in operation!

Gotta rank as the easiest mod to fit in the world. Even took me less then 2 minutes and I'm clueless. £20 spent, 2 miutes fitting, and even the burd said it did look better. RESULT!

Actually I like the Touran wiper better !

But the Fabia wiper does look and work so much better, I was behind a Fabia the other day and it looks so much better on the Leon !

Had mine on 15 months-ish with no probs, though starting to judder a bit now so think a new blade is needed. Still great at wiping away the soot though...

No problems with my fabia wiper on the rear... has seen silly speeds and track use with no worries!!

Aero front wipers a different story tho... still don't clear the screen properly!

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but i got my new wiper bits home from the Skoda stealers tonight and found pabs guide (Cheers) and i appear to be missing a bit. i have the arm, the blade and the cover but appear to be missing the bit which screws back onto the spindle

can you fit the fabia arm the existing arms spindle bit (if that makes sense, i.e. does that bit come apart)

Don't probs at all and I travel on motorway everyday. When I first fit it it used to screech upon operation but that was easily fixed as I just loosened the bolt under the cover one turn. It actually clears the window now and how many times better does it look than the oem on!!!

But as its dark and raining i cant really do mine so need to know i can fit it tomorrow as the steallers will be shut by the time i get from work.

The arm fits directly over the stud and bolts on with the nut you removed, then you just fit the blade and cover which clips on.

Only 3 parts required - cap, arm, blade. Fits onto existing spindle as per my guide!

I have had no problems with mine either, it actual clears the rear windscreen and doesn't squeak when wiping, looks great too!

thought we had agreed you dont have any parts missing?

you remove the nut, take off old arm.
put new arm onto the spindle (existing one on the car)
put nut back on, tighten

then put cap on.

easy.

the new arm doesnt 'screw' on, its more a push fit which is held in place by the spindle/nut
