Any one used a 'Silver battery'

Has anyone used a Calcium/Silver battery in their Seat?

Eg. The Bosch Silver from Halfords or the Varta Silver Dynamic (same battery as the Bosch but cheaper)

I am asking because when Ford went to Calcium/Silver as standard fit, they upper the charging voltage from 14.4v to 14.8v, and I just want to make sure that it will be ok.

I can't see why there would be a problem.

Also, what is the standard size on the LCR?

Fitted a Bosch one today - HSB013

I went for the Varta 027 one in the end.

I've got it in the boot of the A4 at the moment. Hopefully the Leon will be rebuilt ready for firing up next weekend.
