Cheers, probably should have looked at what he drives, but too lazy.
To get a better noise, your probably best picking up a new exhaust, i wouldnt bother with a full system on a 1.2 but a cat back would do the job nicely. Might be some kicking about in the for sale section on here that will fit.
Then id get a induction kit, will give it a nicer note than just the exhaust. Won't give you any major power gains, but if your only after a better sound then thats your best bet.

Get some piccies up when u can mate.

I would go to a custom exhaust place and get a backbox made up....advantages with this is, u can pick the exhaust tip u like and also the sound u want it to produce....alot of places will offer a lifetime gaurantee on the exhaust aswell.

i got mine from jetex themselves.....u will have to do some measuring because they are universal filters (one downside compared the like of K and N) but i think i payed £50 for mine! failing that search on ebay for uni filters, sure u can pick up one for half that!

panel filters are best performance wise cause they are enclosed inside ur airbox....so no heat soak, but u wont get that induction roar from the engine that you are wanting! the only way u will get that is through a cone! but its ur choice mate

with a cone filter ur car will sound throaty when accelerating hard, but any other time u wont really notice a dif....where as with an exhaust it will be noisy all the time! ha ha but for £25ish for a cone filter, worth a try eh?

this forum is a bad influence on me and is bad for my bank balance.....wasnt going to modify this car cause it was already quick enough....but its going in for a stage 2 map in a fortnight ha ha, if u spend any amount of time on here u will see urself spending money......Enjoy! :)

Good luck and let us know how u get on!
