evening all! bought the above, it was recommended in the cheap mods thread but where does everyone fit it? my boost guage comes off a little black round thing on the left of the engine if that makes sense?

also to save another thread, when i unlocked my car just now, the red led on the door pin was flashing fast, even after it was unlocked, does that mean alarm has been set off

Is it an anti vibration T-piece you have? If it is then you will have to use it to 'tee' into one of the existing vacuum hoses from the inlet manifold and blank off the port on the brake servo pipe which it seems you are current using to feed the gauge.

As for the blinking led, i think that indicates your alarm has been set off as you said.

Cant see why not, but not really ideal. I would personally do it properly and blank off the port for the brake servo and tee into the pipe running to the FPR or dump valve. Just out of interest, what Boost gauge have you got?

mine rattles badly as well.

Looked on internet for the NoBuzz T piece, and found it on the Awesome gti store online. It only costs a fiver, but I contacted them to see what it would cost to send to The Netherlands. And for that little tiny T piece which can fit in any old envelope, they would chanrge me £23.50 on shipping alone! That seems like quite an expensive piece of plastic...

So I looked on ebay and found some boost gauges which come with nobuzz t piece for around 35 quid. Anyone have experience with those?

Does the T piece also stop needle from shaking? Or only stops sound?

I'll let you know when figure out how to plumb it in! I don't think it can go into the brake line like it is at the moment

if you take it off fpr like many of us do then you can.

1 line from fpr to T piece. Then the other 2 ports of t piece go to bottom of inlet manni and other to gauge.

lol I don't know how to do multi quotes so for everyone a single post.

But peachy this is the one I meant. And I was quoted 23 quid for shipping plus the 5 something the part costs, thats 30 quid for a t piece...

no way

is that from awesome?

if so that is wayyyyy to much......try ebay

over the years of me haveing two cupras ive had my boost gauge plumbed in to every thing

dont tee it in on the dump valve because the dv needs all the vac it can get...from the fpr is ok but ive been told by jabba that it can cause problems..altho ive had it of there and all seemed well....now if you go from the left hand side of the inlet mani the is a valve there with a GREEN nipple/plug thing on it ,you can pull that of an go strate from there tyhats was fairly good.....but i now come directly of the bottom of the inlet mani now as ive done the catch tank mod and changed where all of them pipes come from...where the PCV vavle was now dose my dv second pipe to the left noe dose my fpr and the final one on the left is strate to my dv

thats the valve with the green bit on it

was it hard to do? at the moment mine is using the normal t-peice but with one side of it blocked off.

do you mean you snapped the middle bit off and just put both sides of the hosing to it? any pics of it?
