I have the 18's as in my sig pic. 2 of them were a little kerbed when I bought the car even though it only had a couple of k miles on the clock

Anyway I got the dealer to refurb them as part of the PX deal and they looked OK on the day I collected the car. After a few washes I can tell it was a pants job as some of the new paint is flaking off of one of them.

So I'm thinking about getting all 4 done properly but in a different colour. My wife reckons black will look the best but I don't know, I reckon dark grey personally.

Can anyone who has had the 18's done in a different colour tell me what happened to the center caps as they have a chrome "S" on them

Any pics will be cool so I can make up my mind.

Dark grey / Anthracite wheels look really dull in my eyes

But then I think they've been done to death by LCR owners who can't colour match wheels.

Black does look cool, but white could be good since it's an occasional car?

Or just a plain boring silver (but done nicely)

wheel colour is personal choice bit what mOrk has said with his views.

i think black wheels have now been done to death and are everywhere , but on the right car they look the danglies
, my factory wheels are anthracite and i am looking at getting BBS ck in anthracite again because they go well with the car , at the end of the day its your choice that matters.

Black rims are fine if you decide to use a pinstripe matching your vehicle's colour.

I had a posting on this quite a while ago when i kerbd mine. Had them touched up by one of these chips away types and the paint started flaking off.

Guy came and looked at it then gave me my money back.

Turns out the alloys are powder coated as opposed to painted by the manufacturer. the powder coatings are more resistant to all sorts of wear and tear, including being re-sprayed.

The guy did mention that he only tends to see powder coating on more "executive" kind of cars!

The only way to have them re-done is get them shot/sand blasted back to bare metal then re-powder coated.

i believe that you can buy the factory black center caps that come on the LCR with black wheels

Shiny gun metal for me, a la M3 E46 standard alloys colour (like the colour of these, not the style)

Then inside they have a gunmetal grey painted interior which gives good contrast against the polished outers.

Not sure a wheel refurber could do this for a fiar price though on your allows.
