I'm getting a rhythmic rubbing sound as the wheels go round when cornering on about half steering lock. I'm still trying to work out if its related to the brakes. I had a sound coming from the left side so took the wheel off and fiddled with the anti-rattle spring on the caliper and it *seems* better.

But I can hear this sound inside the car, Im not sure from which side. It just sounds like a creaking/rubbing sound and seems to go as I straighten the wheel up or pick up some speed. Also noticed I get a bang when going over bumps at highish speed which could be related? It doesn't seem to always happen.

I haven't got coilovers or anything, any ideas what this could be? Loads of things come up on the search but any pointers would be appreciated :)

Got the exact same noise with my car.Speeds up/slows down according to what speed you're doing.Only hear it when turning.
Dealer diagnosed a noisy strut top bearing.£115 to fix(inc vat).Said it'll get louder if i do nothing, but won't do any damage.Might be MOT failure though.
Hope this helps.:)

hmm..I dont think I would have mullered them, but it is possible I suppose. Shame I can't just replace the discs without the pads really.

you can just change the discs and keep your pads, they will just need longer before they are run in and therefore longer before you can muller them :D

Just stick each pad in a vice and file them flat to remove the little score marks that match the old disks
