I have an 07 plate leon cupra and im going for a stage 1 remap and im under the impression that under normal driving this will improve fuel economy is this true because im having this argument with the lads at work and want to put this argument to bed. It would be nice aswell to hear what you guys think of stage 1 overall. Thanks

Mine did improve by a couple of MPG!

Stage 1 IMO is quality, but i did get clutch slip after some time, may of just been unlucky with the clutch i guess!

I get what you mean with the sound...It sounds abit different but nothing much really! The spacer on the DV is louder when running the map.

Know how you feel with the wife matter lol

Yeah it does put the power down ok, but I brought rubbish Falcon tyres they have lasted 18,000 miles but the grip is not great and get a fair bit of wheel spin! Going for decent tyres next time, (should of done that in the first place) I know people with more power not having major problems as long as you don’t go crazy in the first 2 gears…

The car does fly once rolling…

What map you looking at?

Only difference noise wise will be air rush from the exhaust and higher whistle from the turbo. An uprated panel filter will make diddly squat of a difference to the noise.

Im thinking about getting a p torque map but havnt seen any reviews on it yet then there's revo and everyone rates them but more expensive and as christmas is coming ill probably end up going with p torque, does anyone know what this map is like?

what he said :) the only extra noise i've got is from the milltek non res and that only makes itself know when pushing on. The turbo is a little louder too but again you need the window open slightly to really hear it. My mpg is hovering around 28-29 mpg on stage 1
