Well i have been doing the searches and seems that peeps have had issues with their LCR after remaps and in cold (5*C or lower air temps) starts.

I get the 17705 code on vag com. This Never ever did this when LCR was standard. I have tried different DV and checked pipes, TIP and IC pipes for leaks. The MAF give good values, (190g/s running peak 1.25bar) and I have seen some have blamed the Intake Air Temp values in the Audi Code for the LCR. I have informed my mappers and they are coming to see me tomorrow to try it.

Has anyone else who has had this and found a solution? Help even if i drive like a granny on cold start it still hits limp.

If the engine has the slightest bit of heat in it, it is fine!

Bugger!

i was geting 163g/s when she was standard. Think I should give her a clean?
But i also think 1.25bar is alittle low, going to ask them to raise it alittle tomorrow.

Less than 18psi seems a tad low....

Something up with your MAF readings if you ask me............... 163 g/s is poor.

Best clean it while he's there.

So people are telling me fibs to take the g/s figure and * 1.3 ?
(190 * 1.3 = 248ish)

Cheers for the advised dude :D

No, Si - you're not wrong. The accepted formula is g/s x 1.31 - it's just that it's difficult to correlate that figure to real dyno results. (Dyno Lottery can of worms TM Badger Bill. ;) )

Do you know, I was was thinking just this morning that we'd not had many people mention this - I know Revo "fixed" it but I was wondering if anyone else had. Who's your Mapper?

!90 g/sec - it's not that low. Can often see 191- 195 on mine.

Edit: just read your sig. "e-maps" eh? Good luck.

 Two separate issues:

Revo have fixed the cold start/lack of boost issue where the car will run in limp mode at less than 5*C - this is apparently a flaw in the stock code, possibly exaggerated by the higher boost (or at least made more noticeable).

210 g/sec is a good MAF reading on a chipped LCR.

Why say that man? Their service has been second to none!

Head guy came out to see me today to sort another map. They have raised the IAT values to sort this. And as I was not happy with only 1.25bar boost they have sorted this. We went out and did some vag-com readings (Emaps laptop has full vag-com license and he knew what he was doing!) and got 202 g/s and 1.45bar :)

I am one happy bunny. Top marks for www.e-maps.co.uk :funk:

Back from the dead
When I had my 53 plate LCR with an AmD map I told them Revo had fixed the limp mode issue (was getting it ever bloody day). They didn't do $h1t for me and didn't give a $h1t either. Problem was they palmed me off back to the dealer and I had a soldered chip on the ECU of a 2 month old 1000 mile car!!!

One of the key deciders for Revo other than the aggressive map was the fix for the cold start issue. Made driving too unpredictable with it. Think I logged around 210g/s too.

LOL Phil Emaps are little known in vag world, but big in BMW/Merc etc....... They did mine and you know what i am like;)

Glad you got sorted Si, Dan who did your map is a good lad, and Simon who owns the company is a top dude, their customer service is top level, any problems and they sort it, The guy who writes and mods their files has been in the game, of writing code for 19 years (peter in germany), and actually writes it and more importantly understands it:)

Btw 202 g/s @ 1.45 bar boost is as good as you will get, to run any more you need 1.55 bar (even this pushes K04 effiencey) or a bigger turbo.........................:headhurt:

Yeah, met Dan via BMW forum as I use to have a 328iSport as well as him. They are both top blokes, and coz I was there first LCR customer Peter (writer) customised how I wanted it to drive, being use to the 2.8 straight 6 lump from the BM i wanted the LCR to be Smoother yet Brutal. He has made me a very happy chappy!

Will recommend them to the masses. They will get bigger in the VAG world too :D
