Can someone point me in the right direction?!? My standard exhaust has just gone on my Ibiza 20VT and i'll be fudged if i'm gonna give SEAT £200 for another one. Need some guidance cos i know nothing!! Wanted something that looks similar to the standard one but doesnt necessarily have to. Just want a nice looking one that works well and doesnt cost the earth!

Cheers!

Hi and welcome

I would firstly ask in one of the online dealer sections on these forum,s e.g. IMG warrington, they offer discount to SCN members on all SEAT spares and accessories, just post a question in their sections and they will get a discounted price back to you.

One other thing, maybe post a wanted advert in the wanted accessories section, quite alot of mk3 owners buy aftermarket exhausts and cant get rid of their old ones quick enough.

If all else fails, i would look into a stainless one, but it will be different and more expensive than £200.

Hope this helps :)

Hmm, dont really fancy a second hand one tbh. That one looks like its starting to rust in the same place as mine did too. Prob gonna invest in a stainless one, any suggestions on where to look?!? Appreciate your help!!

Blueflame ask you how you want the xorst.... you choice is ... loud or power.

I have chosen power for two of my other cars... and the sound is very nice as well. I think you can ask them to keep it "quiet"

I have no experience with Miltec, but I have heard good things.

and although I did have a VERY good xorst from Powerflow a LONG time ago, I wouldnt reccomend them now

Get a magnifying glass and look at mine in my sig.

Where are you... South Wales? Blueflame are based in Wigan/Leigh which is a LONG way for you to go as they fit the xorst on the car.

No idea about local to South Wales. but Miltech are reccomended quite a bit.

I will say it again though, I would NOT reccomend Powerflow.
See if any other custom made 501 xorst makers are in your area. Ask them what type of bends they use (crush?) as that makes all the difference.

And without being sexiest.... because these places can be... once you have a price, get your bloke to phone for you after and see if there is a difference in price.

Other than that, SEAT is the way to go if you want to keep it standard.

Oh ... and have a word with your insuracne as well. See if a new xorst counts as a "mod" and if they are going to charge you extra for it.

Good luck! :D
