I was thinking of doing them myself, i want to strip them back down to bare metal. I'm not sure what colour to do them though either red again or silver.

Well they fitted no probs, with loads of room left behind them. I'm well chuffed with my bargain.

I want something that'll standout behind the rims, grey would blend in to much imo. Would i need to use primer when painting them? can you get high temp primer? Or should i just spray the bare metal with high temp paint?

Yeah, i just wanted to see if the calipers fitted behind the wheels. So i left the standard discs on.

mate check out the how to refurb brembo's thread on the mk1 leon section , for fifteen quid they'll come up brand new. mines are the last set of pics on that thread. all you need to do is pick off any loose laquer and re- laquer them 5 times or so and they look like brand new, mines were worse looking than yours and i never would have believed they would come up so good.

Yeah i've seen that thread, they look good. I want to do a full refurb because the paint has been completely stripped off on parts of the caliper. I think it is a common problem with Ibiza Brembo's, the caliper sits very close to the inside of the rim and can scrub, taking the paint off.

I could just sand them down, repaint and lacquer but i want to do it properly and go back down to the metal.
