After a bit of help with fitting a new radio as the original head unit was knackered so I got myself a £50 argos special. The radio came with adapters all clicked in so I plugged everything together no problems. But because the adaptor has so much wiring there is no where to put it all.

Its hard to explain so pics might be better. (radio is in the place where the little cubby hole usually is because the cage wouldnt fit at the top :doh:

Extra wires

Big ass connection at the back where the original wires run to

Pissed off and hungry solution ...

I have tried pulling the wires back, putting them underneath where all the fan wires are but there is no room to run the wires through

So has anybody got any ideas of what i can do before I take a saw to it...

HELP!!

I put the wires underneath on mine buddy, theres a whole on the passengers side which goes up into the dash, put your hand up there and grab the wires downwards

Nice car btw :) be nice to see more pics

Hey mate, did you do the colour coding yourself? Or did you get someone to do it professionally? How much did it cost for either materials or for the latter option? Your car is looking awesome mate, happy modding.. Cheers dude..

Hello sir I got it painted 'professionally' literally round the corner from me. It cost £150 for mirrors, side strips, door handles and the bottom part of the rear bumper. When I say professionally the guy just did it as a 'hobby' and did an ok job but nothing spectacular. Not really worth the 45mins it would take you to get to Southport from Manchester anyway.

Im not to clued up on the mk3's so don't know how easy it is to remove the bits and pieces you want to paint? but if you have the time and motivation I would say give it a go yourself and if you make mistakes you can still go and get them done professionally :) I wish I had done this myself but I was working full time back then and had to money to be lazy

Good luck and enjoy..

Well the penguin has fallen out somewhere on the M6 (sorry!) so I ordered a new grill which I will stick on when it gets here.

I got myself signed up to a agency over Nov/Dec so had a little spare to spend on little things. Then lo and behold

I considered getting it lowered but I am just going to save my money for a diesel. Finally got a proper job which involves lots of travel....could there be a more perfect excuse??? :D
