am i in limp mode?

help! this morning pulling onto a main road i got bad wheelspin. sounded nasty.
since this the car wont boost. no dashboard lights have come on. and cant hear 6the dv. ive had a quick looky at the engine and pipes look connected.

is this limp mode?


is driving the car like this bad for it?

Could be DV, or try disconnecting the battery, let the car reset.....

ITS RUNNING A FORGE 700P . are you thinking its stuck open?

try to reset ecu before i go home tonight. does this sound like limp?

Limp you will notice and is the car throttling back - we never did get to the bottom fully but it will normally be caused from heat and the ECU reverting to a 'safe' setting as it were. This sounds like something other than limp like a sticking DV - maybe best to take it out and have a little look and give a clean.

I've not heard of too many Jabba'd cars dropping into limp and mine was running the a more original Revo code when this occured - normally occurs when running the car hard for a period also and at a higher speed also.

this gets stranger.... got in the car to drive home and the turbos back! id done nothing to it.

however... at times it seemed half hearted. got home and its not idleing as smoothly as before. sounds like its about to stall.

if the dv is sticking would affect idle?

i take it it wasnt in limp then. i shall now get cold and check the dv

ok dv seemed stiff but ok. idleing is worse.

i unplugged the maf and it idled great. got a triangle warning light on the dash.

are my problems due to the maf?

can i drive ok with maf unplugged? for a couple of days?

Faulty MAF I'd guess....

I wouldn't drive without it, get it Vag Com's if poss..
