So badically you have to drive the car hard to get it warm, which makes your mpg go down which makes having a diesel pointless

But what i meant was, you could get a 1.9 tdi, or a 2.0 sport with all that, mp3 is standard anyway. 17" alloys a small upgrade on a new car etc.

I was initially looking for a 140 TDi Sport, but most people wanted around £11k for one, so it was only another £3k for a FR and I think its far nicer

Had the same problem with my FR, once I found out what DPF and the symbol meant, I checked around some forums, and I now take it out every Sunday for a long hard drive, kind of like having to walk the dog, but way more enjoyable, and beats having to sit through endless hours of soap repeats.
Mind you, any excuse just to get out in it is good enough for me
