Hi can any one give me info on alloys fitting for a seat leon.I wanted to know if the alloy is not sitting on circular hub properly will it effect the tyres balance by not being central.I had brought a set of alloys which were the right fit for a seat leon cupra (18s ) but the front alloys seemed to be rubbing with the strut specialy when i drove slow.Is it possiable the alloys/wheel was not central by not sitting on the circular hub properly ?.would realy appreciate any info

What is the offset of the wheels you have bought? They will rub on the suspension strut if the offset is too high.

His offset is 38mm

It will effect the balance if the wheels are not centered correctly over the hub ring, you need to make sure you have the correct spigot rings.

If the wheels were not centered correctly you would definatly know about it mate.

Have you got the correct spigot rings for them so they fit over the hub properly?

you could always try some spacers to take the wheel away from the strut a bit? 38mm should be ok but I'm guessing if there 8" wide with wide tryes they might just touch the struts?

Did you fit these wheels yourself? The centre bore size is 57.1mm, you can get spigot rings of these size in any wheel shop. If you don't have the correct size centre bore with or without spigot rings, your wheel bolts will be under a lot of stress. Worst case scenario, you could lose a wheel whilst driving, not good.

The offset of your wheels is fine. They shouldn't be rubbing on the front suspension.
