Hello, just a quick questions, i have a cupra tdi and i can set the alarm off but not while putting my hand in through an open window. I read that the bits that set the alarm off which an open window or with movment inside the car are not active when the car comes standard, is this true ? If so can I use VAG com to turn them on ?

Thanks

The sensors are automatically disabled when the window is left open. This is to stop the alarm going off when flies go in the car etc.

To set the alarm off you will have to have the windows up, so that the car has total closure. The alarm will then sound after it detects movement in the car.

Trust me, you dont want the sensors working when the windows are open. It would be going off all the time!

This is how my LCR works anyhoo, im guessing it will be the same for your car.
