alarm

for some strange reason my alarm has been going off at silly o'clock in the morning it seams to be at random times.
i havetried opening and shutting doors and windows useing just the key, and just the remote to lock the car but everynoew and then it just goes off
any ideas as to what it may be as i'm stummped

oh yeah its a 1998 2.0 16v sx just in case there all different

Mine did this when my battery was on its last legs - might be that?

did it also start to struggle to start?

I had this on my old car (Mondeo) turned out to be a faulty door switch.

Check the alarm button in the engine bay, it did this when i first picked it up. Cleaned the contacts with WD40 and it shut up.

Alternatively lock the car but don't alarm it.

Yeah, my car also struggled to start.
