Alarm keeps going off !

My Ibiza's alarm will not stop going off So much to the point that its sitting outside just now unlocked.

What can I check around the car to try and source the problem ?

See if turing the interor sensors off helps as a short term measure so you can actually lock it.

I had this the other day.. opened everything I could, then slammed it shut. Still kept going off, only for me to find a daddy-long-legs flying around inside the car. So my suggestion to you is have a look for insects! They fly past the motion sensor just above the passenger seat belt thing.

Button on the pillar behind the drivers seat. Press it before you lock the car.

I had this problem for about a month or so. It turned out to be the battery in the remote central locking. As soon as i changed that it never did it again. This might not be the case for you but its worth a try!

Tried the interior switch but the alarm has since gone off

Sitting on the driveway with a disconnected battery now

Im talking about the key remote. and try locking it with key and not remote>

Yeah the battery was already disconnected before I read your post. Can the car be locked without the alarm being on ?

Im not to sure m8, might be worth a read of the manual and see what it says. You should be able to, I know you can on most other cars.

Does the Ibiza alarm have any sort of battery back-up ?
