Alarm issues

Hey,

done a search but no answers. The alarm does work in the sense that i can get the hazards go off...and the car will not start.

but the siren/horn does not sound @ all...had the car down @ a specialist today to have the chirp switched on...and it wont do that either(chirp active on VagCom but no sound still.)

anyone any ideas?? the specialist not a sparky so he had no answers...wondered if anyone else had any clue

i think it was one of the special issue hearing/visually impaired ones that was released mainly for the deaf market.

Yours might be one of those.

Another way to tell is does it have the silly bright yellow dials cos thats another thing they put on the visually impaired ones.



Seriously, sounds like the siren unit has gone, but not sure where they are located

for the siren looks like rear left or right of engine bay for the siren , depending on the car being LHD/RHD
