Hi Pal

Unfortunately the car is out of warranty due to the mileage but as it is only just they are trying to get Seat to sort it as a goodwill gesture.
The above post is correct as I asked one of the engineers, to put any potential thief's off it is encased in a metal box and it will deafen you before you get anywhere near it.

Hi Pal

I am still waiting on Seat UK to respond on a good will gesture. The part is £115ish when I asked the dealer so hopefully it will get covered under warranty.
I will most likely take a look myself at the weekend so will post back then.

Hey newbie with my SEAT Leon mk2 I’ve found exactly the same problem, located and replaced the siren and still no joy.. also vagcom vcds told me the climate control has been messed (after changing the stereo) and he managed to reset the code for that but had the same code (H12) no communication to the siren. Could this be the CCM? Stumped and following …

I’ve recent had a problem with my alarm siren (no chirp or sound at all) successfully located it and replaced it to no avail. Next I Opened the siren horn and found the internal battery was dead. managed to replace the 3.6v internal lithium battery inside the siren and for a few weeks had my chirp back.. since then it had died again which tells me there’s no charge going to the siren battery but is receiving signal.. has anyone got the alarm wiring diagram so I can locate a possible inline fuse that’s not on either main fuse board?.. thanks
