Airbag light after new tyres

Hi All,

This is a wierd one. Just had all 4 tyres replaced and a full wheel alignment. I noticed on the way home that the airbag warning light was on?

I've done a search and I can find all sorts of airbag light on threads, but none that relate directly to wheel changing.

Can anyone think of anything that might have gone wrong?

Its probably just pure coincidence that it come on at this time!! if youre still under warranty take it in to get it checked out!!

get it on vag-com and check the code.
my guess is its totally unrelated.

I couldn't see how the 2 could be related, but it does seem awfully coincidental.

I'll have to get it booked in at the dealers to get it looked into. I do have Vag-Com but I thought anything to do with air bags and Vag-Com should be avoided at all costs??

its best to check with them but ive used vagcom on my old IBIZA cupra airbag to read codes and no issue.
to be honest, if its under warrenty, just book it in.

Well thats it booked in for sat week. will it cause any problems driving it for 2 1/2 weeks with the airbag light on?

it wont cause any problems but it is worth pointing out that when the airbag light is on, the complete airbag system is disabled.
