Not sure whether to go down this route as I like the stock ones, however I might need to replace at least one alloy thanks to a pratt in his white van....

Sooooo suggestions guys....I have a Black LCR...I presume bigger rims are a no no due to power loss so do I replace the stock ones...or go for something a little different?

i dont think you can beat the lcr wheels if you do want to change maybe go for the rs6 wheels! they look good but you get to see the massive brembo's with the standard wheels and they do look lush!

Stick with LCR wheels, or as Gaz says RS6 wheels look good IIRC Rudd had to have 10mm spacers to clear the Brembo's, there are a couple of LCR wheels on ebay at the moment. :)

rather than change for different wheels, why not change the colour of your LCR wheels. get some photoshops done of different colours before you decide anything though.

I changed to RS6 alloys (piccy's in my link in my sig below)

But then went to Awesome GTi for the SCn rolling road day and fell in love with some new wheels, had I kept the car it would be wearing a set of these....

Konig E Racer in Black (not as pricey as I thought either)

Oh yeah the RS6's will require 10mm spacers to fit on, lots of wheels struggle to clear the front Brembo's......spacers didn't affect the handling though although the did cost a few quid when you factor in longer wheel bolts etc.....got my spacers from Forge

Just MHO but it may look a bit too black on a black car. Have a look for cu51pra's pictures on here as he has very similar styled alloys (colour and lip) on a black car

How badly damaged is the alloy? Can it be refurbed? If so, you have the option of getting this done in standard colour or any other finish you choose

As you've got a black LCR you might want to consider white for the motorsport look?

See here http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=89564 post 19

I'm mulling this over for when I get my originals re-done

If alloy has died a death looks like you'll have to buy another off e-bay if one comes up or via your stealer...

Bigger alloys do not cause power loss. And on a car that is fitted with 18's as standard, if you can tell any difference in going to 19's (other than possibly a slight reduction in ride quality due to more shallow, stiffer sidewall), I would be amazed.

As already said, I think the standard LCR wheels look fantastic, the RS6 alloys look good, and most thin-multi spoke wheels generally suit the car in my opinion.
