Advise on buying a cupra 180/150bhp??

Hey,

I was thinking of buying a 156bhp ibiza ( I own a starlet turbo right now but for same price i can get an ibiza!).

What sort of times 0-60 and 1/4 could i expect from them?

With a bit of tuning

An Ibiza Cupra has TC? Excuse my ignorance - I've just started reading up on the Seats..

I have had my Ibiza Cupra for about 3 weeks now and the disks and pads are 6 weeks old ... I am impressed

But when they get to the end of their life I'll either go Brembo route or ATE power disks for the front, and some Feroddo ds2500 pads.

I have ATE powerdiscs, very impressed, cheap as chips and much better than OE, I have ATE pads and they seem to do the trick also.

IMO the Brembo's aren't all theyre cracked up to be, apparently they are just as easy to cook

You felt how hard the Brembo's bite compared to the awful standard brakes?? ATE power discs or not, the Brembo's are a million times better.

FAO Dare i own a blue ibiza cupra 20vt and my misses has a lupo gti, I love driving the gti it's a go cart compared to the cupra! what sort of spec is your gti eg leather? air con? mileage? year and colour if you want i'd consider a car swap, Mine is 156 bhp in metallic blue on a Y plate with 43k, Pretty mint actually. I understand the lupo is probably worth more than the cupra so some ££££ can be arranged.

I agree with ya too, my GF has a Lupo GTi, loads of fun to drive, but I can't get her to use it properly! lol

yeah with my wheels on lol she cant drive for toffee so i drive it mostly. I love it! it's a fun, good looking and still fast little motor

Yeah i love my lupo!! Its just not fast enough!
My gti is quite rare for its spec. Its black with black leather seats, air con so on with 23.000miles.
Its funny how many girls own them really, cos if you know how to drive them they handle really well.
What tyres has your gf's got? Cos the standard tyres are scary (Dunlops)
Bit poor as only two companies make them (205/45/15)

She got my cupra wheels on now with yokohama's it looks quite good here's a pic of our cars,

So you fancy a car trade with some £££ your lupo sounds very ideal for me apart from the colour really wanted a red or silver one but not that fussed.

fair! yes a S3 is at the top off my list aswell i'd love one! we still got the standard gti wheels but i'm not sure what we are doing with them, How much you want for the lupo? or too the point any chance off the leather interior will pay top cash and give you the cloth interior, come on you know you wanna sell it lol
