Bought my 2002 LC near the start of the year on about 90k, As usual i wasnt going to look around and ended up buying the first one i went to see. Didnt bother me at all as it was in very good condition anyway.

Anyways its now coming up to 105k, has a full service history, a few mods, and so far only had a coil pack go wrong.

Now the only problem is i dont want to start moddifiing it further because of the milage, as i feel it would be a waste of money when i come to sell it, the idea keeps coming up, of selling it and buying another cupra but with lower milage, only thing is i havent got the money at the monent. But will having a high amount of miles cost me more in the long run?

The other plan was just to stop doing it up. OR would i just be ok buying choice mods than i can later sell on again later? But ill still have the problem with the high milage, how easy is it to sell one of these on high milage?

so, just wanted peoples advice on what to do next really, would it be best to save up and sell up. Or am i just fussing over nothing?

thanks for any help.

Mine is on 106k and had it remapped about 2000miles ago, went on rollers and was faultless these engines are just about run in at these mileages, as long as you do regular oil changes they will go on for ever, but then i am never going to sell mine so i dont mind spending the money on it :D

I do it every 3-4000 as i use the car every day about 5-700 miles a month prob still average miles but i want to look after the engine. Eventually hope to buy another car and garage the leon.

Not worried at all but will probably not sell it anyway. Currently looking at getting a mk2 cupra and will keep both. Would probably only get 2k for it and its worth more to me, sort of a labour of love. Mine gets serviced every 6,000 miles and probably do about 8,000 per year. Great cars but some do have small problems but touch wood mine has been bullitt proof up to now.

Had a similar thought myself but decided to keep the car and spend the necessary money to keep it sweet. I'll probably buy something newer next year but I love the Cupra so will hang on to it as a second car ... for the money I'd get for it if sold it with high mileage isnt worth selling imho.

Also mapped ;)

I've just spent a couple of hundred quid on new suspension bushes and this has made a BIG difference ... it now feels like a new car :)

So the bushes made a good difference then? Did the rear bushes last summer and were a right pain but worth it. Currently got all the front ones waiting to be fitted, just got to get new full suspension and i'll do it all at once.:)
