I've just spent the last 10 minutes searching the Mk 3 forum for all the terms I can think of relating to putting extra sound proofing in the doors but to no avail.
My end-of-weekend brain appears to have folded for the night so can anyone point me in the direction of the relevant thread/s please as I quite fancy adding extra sound proofing to my 280. I know I've read threads about this before but I just cannot find them :crash:

Thanks muchly

Come on Perkman1969, why would you want to do this in the first place!

I'm finding the tyre roar on poor road surfaces somewhat tiresome - it seems to be more noticeable now that my tyres are nearing replacement but that might just be coincidence. The road noise is probably my only gripe about my Cupra and was hoping to make it a bit quieter now that I'm planning to hang on to it for a few more years.

It does look like quite a bit of work however....

You're best to sound proof the boot floor and rear wheel arches if you're trying to cure road noise.

Thanks for the advice Curtly. I've got the Seat Sound fitted - do you know if that presents a problem (either lose the quality of the sub-woofer or can't fit the sound proofing in enough places to make a difference?)

You'll be fitting the sound deadening under the spare wheel/subwoofer. If anything it will enhance the sound.
