Same on the V2 1.5. No engine insulation. Guess it's based on size of the engine, unless anyone has different?Any of you gents here with the Hybrid version: do you have the engine hood insulation installed?
I was wondering if the "naked" hood is a standard feature or if it's country dependent.
Yeah, mine didn't come with it either do I bought one and fitted it myself. Reasonably cheap and dead easy to fit. Looks much better too.Any of you gents here with the Hybrid version: do you have the engine hood insulation installed?

Indeed, it looks as if the car was not delivered incompletely built...Looks much better too.
I bought mine from Here (one of the forum sponsors) but they've gone up a lot since.Indeed, it looks as if the car was not delivered incompletely built...
Do you have a part code for that insulation? Does it also come with the plastic buttons that hold it in place?
Thanks!
Just fitted these, not too bad needed a little double sided tape and a better hex key than the one supplied. View attachment 38112 View attachment 38113
The Leon Cupra I bought had these already fitted by the previous owner. I had to remove em as they kept getting in the way when indicating n using cruise control etc. Much better for me now.I ended up getting these same ones. I didn't need double sided tape though, but I made sure to take my time while screwing in the screw.
I can see why these might not be for everyone, i don't like line of sight to the cluster being obstructed. However, i'll probably know after a month whether these are for me for the long term.
I had also purchased a sunglass holder to replace the grab handle on the driver's side. I am yet to be successful in removing it to replace it.
I'm hoping that I don't have that issue in the Formentor. The Leon Cupra I bought had these already fitted by the previous owner. I had to remove em as they kept getting in the way when indicating n using cruise control etc. Much better for me now.
Once done, I'll upload a pic of the final result.
I have found (procrastinating at work) this image - and from various YT vids, you'll have to really pry on the clips. Please do, I also struggled with getting the grab handle off.
I ended up buying the tool to remove the handle as i couldnt manage it with just two hands in a contorted position.I have found (procrastinating at work) this image - and from various YT vids, you'll have to really pry on the clips.

Unfortunately, I haven't found an official part.Is the sunglasses holder an official accessory? If yes, what’s the part number?
A link to where to purchase in the uk would also be good if possible!
