ABS, ESP and TPS fault on leon

Hi I bought a 57 plate seat leon a few days ago from auction. When I started to drive the car 3 dash lights came on the ABS ESP and the tyre pressure sensor light. I can clear esp and tps when on stop and ignition off and on. Does this looking like a abs pump fault or a abs sensor on one of the wheels.

Impossible to say without scanning for fault codes. Probably ABS, or ESP module.

Sounds like an abs sensor! But difficult to tell without plugging it in.

my esp light came on the other day n has stayed on. got it plugged in and the error code was 01435 brake pressure sensor 01. saw on other forums people going direct to seat and they were charging around 1400 to replace the entire abs module. my local garage just ordered in a repair kit for it at £140.00 then whatever labour will be on top. but cant see it reaching the £1400 mark :)

If you go to seat they'll replace the faulty part, usually for free under the good will scheme if you have a full seat service history.

Repair kits have been available for over 3 years now and seat have been fitting then for 2 as SEAT UK will no longer replace the whole unit.

To the OP - get it scanned or you're just stabbing in the dark.

Yep people seem to be having quite a high success rate getting this sorted FOC under Goodwill so worth a try. Diagnostics at a Seat dealer will be about £50.

VW AG know they've dropped a bollock so they are trying to resolve the issue as best they can. I used to literally do one a day back when this all came about. Now I still replace about one a week at least.

Yeah its good they've admitted fault and released a repair kit.

Am I right in thinking it only affects Leon's with the 'proper' ESP? Mine only has basic traction control so I'm hoping it will be ok. Had a Golf 5 years ago which failed.

I've had a fault check done by my mate yesterday and its come up with rear left abs sensor fault. I'll check it out for visable damage first on the ring and if its ok I'll change the sensor

Well dependent on the equipment used to read the faults it will log either a mechanical or electrical fault. Mechanical = the sensor ring
Electrical = sensor or the wiring

It was Tested with a Autel MaxiDAS

once abs light cleared it came back on after a few feet along with the esp and tps
