Right had a guy over this morning to do a diog check see what else was wrong before I stuck it through an MOT and none of his 3 machines could read it due to a fault in the wiring between the ECU and port.
Said it could be fixed but it'll be expensive as it would involve alot of dismantling but wasn't 100% if it would be worth it as the engine managment light wasn't on and this should still function correctly as it's a different wire, the fuel vapor re-circulation problem no-one seems to be able to shed light on along with the list of 16 other problems I've already solved I think I've had enough (not to mention the seized handbrake).

One last chance is there antbody out there that really knows the ABF that could spare me a day (there will be beer tokens) to come and look and really sort these problems in the Essex area???

Or be interested in a Project as I reckon it just needs some real time spent on it which I don't have.

This really is last chance saloon for it, if not there will be a Black 16V GTI being broken by the weekend.

Cheers but that's the first thing the guy checked, that's his speciality the guy had a Transit full of Diognostic machines, he tried 3 different before he gave up.

To be fair I've really thought it through and the Mrs has said she's considering letting her Yaris go and we can share a car and when I suggested an R32 or LCR she seemed quite intrested just got to clear my Credit Cards so dropping the Ibiza may be what the heart is telling me not to it just makes sense.

I'll be listing the bits over the weekend.

Don't worry about it - the diagnostics on the ABF engine is next to useless anyway

Why are you plugging it in?

Well I've been chasing gremlins around the engine bay forever and hoped it would tell me exactly what sensor/valve wasn't working and c*cking up the Vapor re-circulation system, I keep getting told to block it off at the Inlet manifold but if I do that the car won't start/concks out as it's sucking in a huge amount of air which is also why I can't leave it as it makes a racket.

to be fair I've done just over 1,000 miles in the 2 years I've had it and it would still need Rear brakes re-built, this problem sorted (3 Mechannics puzzled so far) 2 new tyres, new grille among other things and it's taking up the garage which means £24 in parking permits a month I've just got no real reason to keep it and as said below the Mrs has said if I get rid and clear my Credit card she'll sell her Yaris and we'll get something better as we don't need 2 cars (both commute by train) and has liked the idea of a LCR, R32 or a Clio 197 and after nearly 6 odd years of Ibiza ownership I want something a bit newer and more reliable as I really don't have the time to spend on it like I used to.

I hope i made the right decision buying a Seat??

Every thread seems to be about faulty electrics:cry:

I`ve had old Fiats for the last 6 years and never had an issue

I think these are hit and miss, my last one never missed a beat or had a single problem in 20 thousand hard driven miles but this one hasn,t made 2K.

Luck of the draw.

Went to look at a Clio 197 yesterday and got talked into a test drive, F@ck me unstickable, just grips forever comfy Recaro, and still prett small and light.

The salesman just giggled as I threw it down a few of my favorite roads said he never get's bored of test drives in the 197/200's.

No low or mid But a set of TB's shuld sort that out.
