right, after finding out i've got an ADL lump in my GTI (1.8 ) was just wondering what the difference between the two lumps? my mate supercharged his ABF, just wondered if it was similar enough to do my ADL lump?

i need to make a headgasket spacer to lower the compression ratio, are the ABF and ADL heads the same?

Any help would be great

Cheers
Chris

ADL and ABF are really very different beasts indeed. It's not all bad news though, as the ADL has rather a lot in common with the KR that was used in mk2 Golf GTI 16v's (amongst other things). The ADL is basically a KR with a more modern electronically controlled injection system - KR's used Bosch K-Jetronic, which is a rather quirky beast to say the least.
