A3/S3 double din consol

Hi, after some advice.
I’ve looked on the forum and found a few posts but I’d like to know if anyone has actually done the double din consol conversion from an A3/S3?
I have potentially found an S3 consol and a Leon double din facia but don’t want to commit without knowing if I’ll need anything else or if I’ll be wasting my money.
