The two most appropriate names for racing drivers ever - Will Power and Scott Speed [B)]

Qualifying is live on Sky Sports3 tomorrow at 2pm, then the races at 1pm on Sunday on SS1. I'm looking forward to it, I like the sound of the boost button.

I think the reason only the countries are being shown on the timing is because there could be anyone driving those cars. With the drivers being able to rotate, it's too short notice to have their names appear.

Piquet, Speed, Parente, Verstappen, Lapiere and McIntosh to be the best of the field I reckon. I'm sure the GBR boys will get up to speed and be challenging after more time in the car, it's just that they've hardly had any races over the past two years and when they have it's been in sportscars (Kerr) and a low level of F3000 (Lloyd).

It'll be interesting when the winter comes to see who else drives. Tony Kanaan is supposed to be appearing for Brazil when the IRL season is over and his teammate Dan Wheldon has been rumoured to be doing some races for the GBR team.

At least the hype has got people interested in it anyway. I've completely forgotten there's a Grand Prix on this weekend because of A1GP!

Anyone going to the event? I'm off there i think traffic will be murder though.

I'm going down on Saturday to take some pictures during practice / qually. Wild horses couldn't get me to Brands on race day though. From past experince it will take hours to get out of the car parks. Take a book and possibly some bedding.

I think I'll toddle off to Wales and photograph the BARC trundling round Pembrey instead.

This is spectacular. Proper racing cars, they are skittish, full on on the ragged edge, understeer, oversteer, just how it should be.

Piquet's 1:14.9 lap he's just done, was fabulous. Real Cars, Real Drivers, im impressed.

Can't say i've been this impressed with qualifying for years.

Hope the racing is as good tomorrow. :D

Over 100 minutes qualifying as well, plenty of time to try out different setups. What was the result of qualifying - live timing now on the Tag Heuer 250 race. In free practice Portugal & France were going well.

This looks really exciting and an awesome day for racing. Would have loved to have gone to this! Thought Jos Vestappen would do a bit better. At least India got a qualifying time...though its down the lower end, wish they'd beaten USA.

I think with so many teams, countries, wide range of drivers and power this is going to be one hell of a race! Are they going to show this on std tv i.e. not Sky I wonder

Not at the moment I don't think. Sky have the exclusive UK rights for it.

I'll have to watch the re-run later on having been out at the time. Looking forward to it though. I hope the races are better than the last major single seater race at Brands when the Champ Cars were there in 2003. That was a yawnfest if ever I saw one. I actually nodded off in my chair at Paddock. But then I did have a case of sunstroke and a major hangover, so that might have helped.

Im not usually an open wheel fan, but i think the whole aspect of how the cars handled etc on the circuit added to the interest, drivers were working hard to keep it on the black stuff, showed good driver skill.

Could be its a yawn fest tomorrow during the races, but im looking forward to it, it promises a lot, hopefully it will deliver. Certainly has me more interested than F1, (is there a race this weekend)
