 cheers for that, its nothing special except detailing, no big money spent after purchase and very few dealer privileges - i see cars on here i drool over mate  white k1 is def on my wish list :p:p:p:p
have to mention 'detailing world' for the zaino polish - its awesome and the best result in my year of cleaning. the shine will turn heads on ANY car after a simple polish, glaze and seal. 3 coats but dead easy - big thanks to John . . .

Dave, I have emocion red, like the sound of this polish, where do I get it, and will it stop the inevitable 'red fade' business?

Is it easy to wack on?

Cheers,

Ian

Haven't quite figured out why you guys bought a Leon:confused:

In the last 30 odd years, I've owned and driven all sorts of cars from a Mini (which I've still got (show car) I've had a Renault Espace (yeah I know - family and all) 24v Senators X 2, Omega Elite 24v, MR2, Focuses or Foci:D, Renault Alpine 2.5 V6 Turbo with all sorts of vision, rattle, electrical and engine problems and can honestly say that I really don't have any prob with the Leon at all:D

All you guys cars seem to be kept mint, looked after and you must have some kind of liking for them otherwise you wouldn't be on this site!

Anyhow, rant over, no offence meant to anyone, I just think that we ought to be looking at the good points in our cars - like all the toys that are options on most others, the reliability, the driving/handling, THE PRICE/VALUE! and the amazing (pretty exclusive) design/shape, lets face it, it is a wicked looking motor even with all its faults:D

As I say - no offence meant to anyone!

Ian

no offence taken, but the good thing about a good forum (like this one :D) is that members can discuss / debate both the good and bad about the product ... boring if it was just one big love fest ... especially as the cars (like most others i grant you) do have their foibles

i knew the a-pillar's on the mk2 were a bit wider / thicker than on the mk1, but have to be honest i find them quite frustrating, wondering if it's just me or if others feel the same? couple of examples, when going round certain roundabouts i find i have to swap my field of vision between windscreen and drivers side screen to ensure i get around properly.

You think that is bad, we used to have a 54 plate sh1treon Picasso, now that had a really bad blind spot, the Leon is small compared to that. It was like driving your car with one eye covered. :p

I'm tall and find my neck hurts from looking under the large low rear view mirror. With the seat down the left hand side of the screen is still obstructed by the rear view mirror.

ianltd you can get it from http://www.advancedcarproducts.com/index.asp?id=24 more info here http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=Z&Category_Code=APPLICATION

Anyone know if emoitcan red or just red for those in the know is with a clear coat finish or without? I'm guessing without clear coat as it's solid paint but I'm not sure! Need to know whether to order the Z-2, Z-3, or Z5- PRO?

Hi sorry only catching up now . . . .
Actually just home from work after using all the gear on a red 2007 Clio I bought the Mrs - some Friday night  alone in a valeting shed
The cleaner takes a bit of elbow grease but almost as easy as Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Definitely removed a lot of wash 'n' wax build up, could feel the difference on the paint straight away. The sealant went on a dream and buffed off after 20 mins with little or no pressure. Final spray detailer just makes a mirror finish which makes any cloth just slide off the bonnet. Im well happy and John at Detailing World recommended all the products without pushing more expensive 'show' stuff. Biggest tip he gave me was to wash first with Fairy Liquid to cut thru all the existing wax, rinse very very thoroughly and then put it back in the kitchen forever
Also, found Meguiars tyre dressing gel is the stuff to have :p although that Carplan aerosol Tyre Slik is soooo cheap and really really good . . . . .

I agree it's a bit frustrating bobbing about when going round a roundabout or similar but it's not that much of a problem really.

I also find that the passenger seat and the b-pillar combined make a huge blind spot for t-junctions at a bit of an angle.
Most of the time I'm in the car on my own so I have the seat a bit too far reclined to make a gap between the seat and the b-pillar.

Thanks for the replies guys, I suppose it would be handy to know whether we have a clear coat over the top of the 'solid'.

I reckon as Rudgey says, there seems to be different types available:confused:

Anyhow, thanks for all the info, I'll get working on it!:D

Cheers,

Ian
