without trying to scare you white smoke could be head gasket but like trauma pat said leave it till she warm ish then see if the smoke goes!!
normally you can tell the difference between condensation and smoke plus they smell way different

good advice sturgers ... get rid of any condensation... but my thoughts were more sinister.
if valve stem seals are leaking they can be worse at idle. 10mins may build it up so it may give enough oil to give decent smoke... enough to have a good sniff for burning oil.
a compression test should highlight any leaky valves

as said check all fluid levels in case a gaskets gone.

all the levels are fine and it was only serviced at seat 200 miles ago been out in it today and no smoke so hoping it was just condensation

my local garage charged me £10 for a compression test, that would at least give you an idea. if that gives a bad result then the head needs to come off to see if its valve seals or piston rings at fault.

lets hope its the breather pipe

im no expert but id say the result pretty much cancels internal engine problems. might be worth pm`ing Bill with the result and asking him what comes next in terms of your problem.

fingers crossed

i'm on my phone an hard to do pm as my phone is crap. Will do later. Going to look for hose under inlet manifold as been told prone to blocking. Cant see how the smoke is not making plugs black but coming out exhaust blue. When initially start car its ok for a min. When been driving for a while an pull up if rev engine get lots of smoke. Really confusing me :(

its often as everything expands as it heats up.

im wondering if you have oil gathered in your intercooler/s if its leaking via the turbo?

bear in mind it only takes a drop of oil to produce lots of smoke, maybe not enough to blacken the plugs?

Just for some info, compression checks don't rule out valve stem seals or head gasket problems, you can get a head gasket sniffer or go to your local MOT place and ask them to monitor for exhaust gases in the coolant.

Have you done a VAGcom on it, if the car is running overly rich this would make the plugs black, also it would thin down the oil causing it to seep by seals giving blue smoke!

it passed mot last week. Why wouldn't it rule out head gasket as if was headgasket would have oil in coolant an the smoke wouldn't be blue it would be white i though. Also when doing compression test if was leak beetween 2 cylinders i would have lost compression. All the readings were good.
