A Few Questions...

Righty, picked up my Leon Cupra today, I love it already, but I've got a few problems....

As you can probably guess I've had some problems with the Aura headunit and de-coding it. I've searched on the forum and now I know how to get it back to being able to enter the code, but I am still unsure of how to actually enter the code  The manual says hold the prog button "briefly" however I did this waiting for this beep that is meant to follow, instead the led screen went mental and then locked me out. So I was wondering if someone could just go through it just to clarify it for me (if that's ok :) ).

Second issue is that there is a single beep that happens usually about 5 seconds after I start the car (although if I leave the key in position A it will beep also). It's probably in the manual, but after the palava with the headunit I'm not all that trusting of it!

Last but not least (which I'm hoping is a simple enough fix), I think the battery needs changing on my keyfob as I have to press it about 3 times to open the car! I was just wondering whether I would have to reprogram the fob after I replace the battery or not.

Thanks in advance, from a very greatful Leon N00b :D

Hi

The radio should come up "safe" then its ready to enter the code without doing anything else, 1 changes the first number, 2 the 2nd etc until you have the code on screen. Then press "prog" to save it.

The beep sounds like a warning, do you not get any red lights or orange warnings?

The battery can be changed in the keyfob without recoding.

cheers for the help, managed to sort it, I think the previous owner has disabled the beep, hence no beep !

Also realised that the beep on/after start up is the temperature warning, and only goes on when it's cold (obviously!!!).

I do have a new problem though, previous owner blew both of the front speakers so I'll have to replace those which is a bit unfortunate, the tweeters are ok though, which seems strange as from what I've read on here they tend to go first but there ya go!
