Ive recently been having problems with my LCR 54 plate, only mod is a Revo 1 re map, the car is looked after and quite mint, the EPC light comes on and sometimes the engine diagnostic light comes on too, i only loose all power when the EPC light comes on the car will still drive but obviously in limp mode. Ive had it to the independant specialists who service it and they said it had a lambda sensor was faulty (not sure if its pre cat or post cat) the car was still no better, they were too busy to get it back in for weeks so i was advised to change either the accelerator pedal unit and the brake light switch, which i did and it changed nothing as the fault still appeares, the only brake pedal switch i could get at the time was a genuine VW one but its for a Golf but seems ok. Well Wed 19th i finally bit the bullet and took it to the main dealers. I told them the whole story they did some diagonstics on it and told me i need to change the throttle housing/butter fly, but this alone WILL NOT clear the fauly they said!!! It also needs the wiring "re-working" betwwen the accelerator pedal and the ECU and between the ECU and the throttle body/switch/thingy.... its going to cost £828!!!!! they WILL NOT tell me anything else other than this..... I have heard that they put gold plated connectoers for better connections but this is speculation. ANY help would be appreciated as this is driving me so insane that im considering selling the car......

P.s the fault does seem to occur more when traction control is turned off as i prefer to drive with it off..... or is this just my imagination...

Thanks

I smell BS here!!
You've come to the right place!! lol
Get someone to VAGcom your car to see what faults it's coming up with.
Have you tried getting REVO to revert the car back to OEM map to see if that makes a difference?

All help appreciated thanks guys....

EPC and engine light still coming on....

The fault is 18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185) : Implausable Signal
P1639 - 35 - - - Imtermittent.
This happens now and then and now the accelerator goes TOTALLY dead whereas before Seat did a diaognostic it would have the same code but it would still drive but without boost.
This is now driving me crazy so help is needed guys :(

Thanks for your reply guys, ive already changed the accel pedal, the brake pedal light switch, a lambda probe which was already faulty and still this problems persists. Maybe a t/b and accel sync might do the trick.
