Im back, took over 5 hours round trip due to traffic and i have to admit im in love. Im no car fundie so there could be problems that im not aware of but it drove SWEET! There are a few little issues that I have noticed already though one being the airbag light being on all the time? (panic?) and the central locking on the key does not work? the light responds to show a button press but nothing happens? I am assuming this might have something to do with the drivers side door lock mechanism being faulty (was told prior to sale)

will get some pics up when its lighter! WHOOP!

its possible that it could be to do with the lock fault, but may also be that the key just needs resetting.. (theres a guide for it in the Mk2 section)

The airbag light is a different matter, could be something silly like a faulty earth on the airbag and migh easily be cleared via VagCom .. see if theres anyone local to you that could do a VagCom check on it.. might give you a pointer as to the cause/solution.
